On 1 April 2008 Parliamentary Information and Communications Technology (PICT) became Parliament’s first Joint Department of the House of Commons and the House of Lords.
PICT is a new organisation and our key priorities are to stabilise and renew the infrastructure while continuing to improve customer service to MPs, Peers and staff across Parliament.
People in Parliament have high expectations from ICT, both in what it can do and in its security and availability. It is our purpose to develop a service that can meet those expectations.
Day to day we support MPs and Peers in electronic communication and information which helps them to undertake their work in a fast moving, mobile environment. We also support a wide range of business critical systems that are vital to the work of Parliament.
Our REAL Values reflect our culture. We treat each other with respect, work towards excellent performance, are accountable for our actions and we continually develop and learn.
