Programme/Project Support Officer
Location: London - Westminster
Salary: £28,434-£35,723 plus excellent benefits

Contract type: Fixed term posts for 18 months (with the possibility of extension)
This is an exciting opportunity to become part of our team assisting in the programme planning and management, working to the Head of Programme Office. You will be required to provide support and guidance on project management processes, procedures, tools and techniques to programme and project managers and their teams.
This includes participating in the development, production and maintenance of time, resource, cost and exception plans as well as ensuring adherence to defined standards in the tracking and reporting of progress and performance of projects.
We are looking for someone with experience of working in large corporate networks and services and a high-availability critical business service.
The essential skills:
- Experience of working in MSP/Prince 2 programme/project life-cycle environments; knowledge of the related standards and principles and experience in applying them to planning and reporting on programme/project activity in practice;
- Experience of managing RAID (risk, issue, interdependency) logs, working between Programme and Project levels , managing risk review sessions and escalating risks and issues when necessary from project to programme level;
- Proven knowledge of MS tools employed to manage projects, specifically MS Project, MS Excel, specifically for managing and manipulating project plans and / or budget information;
- Experience of stakeholder management and developed relationship management skills including influencing and networking at various levels of seniority;
- Experience of achieving delivery objectives against milestoned plans and deadlines in multi-stakeholder environment e.g. both technical and business;
- Proven techniques for monitoring compliance and obtaining adherence to internal programme /project standards;
- Excellent planning and organisational skills, takes initiative and prioritises workload e.g. able to work across a number of projects simultaneously;
- Experience of preparing written and financial reports for programme / project boards;
- Demonstrable team working skills including working flexibly to successfully cover all project and programme tasks as a team;
- Flexibility, excellent attention to detail, ability to identify key priorities and issues within high volume data environments.
