PICT works for Parliament in delivering a bespoke ICT service to Members of the House of Commons, Members of the House of Lords and staff of both Houses. PICT is a relatively new department, the first to be owned by both Houses of Parliament. Our work is in many ways unique and highly diverse, ranging from very specific developments in electronic publication to providing standard enterprise-wide administrative and desktop systems in a very flexible and mobile environment.

The work in the department includes service desk and engineering support, telecommunications, server and network management, applications development and support, programme and project management and also more general HR, finance and support services.

The aim of the new department is to reach “a world class standard in the provision, support and exploitation of ICT”.
